Schools' Enterprise Project

Providing practical solutions to help you manage, grow or downsize your business. Starting with the young of today, tomorrow's Enrepreneurs and Business Leaders, helping to shape the future.

The next generation are being taught by teachers in our Schools today to help prepare them for the changing world of tomorrow – amongst them as yet undiscovered are tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders.
Background

For many centuries it has been possible for millions of people to find work in traditional industries using skills acquired or taught by others in jobs that changed very little. Often, whole families depended upon the relative stability of employment offered and grew up in communities near to the work-place. Dealing with these large Employers became part of life, impacting on family life, from cradle to grave.

But things changed.
  • Information technology and the opening up global markets with free flow of funds meant competition for goods and services now has to be viewed on a World Stage. Production migrating to wherever it can be sourced cheapest with powerful Branding and 365 day 24/7 exposure to help shape or meet consumer demand.
  • A seemingly insatiable appetite for heavily promoted consumer goods and new gadgets has been fuelled by the knowledge, technology and ability, to make it all possible.
  • It’s hardly surprising then that there is an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to be part of this new world. Prepared to work hard, take risks and share in the rewards.
  • But commercial opportunity is but part of the story.
  • Social Enterprise and an increasing need for caring individuals willing to work and contribute to the welfare of others, will all form part of modern societies as will a need to protect and preserve the Environment for future generations.
  • Our Schools will play an ever increasing part in preparing our young people for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

    • Soul Traders Workshops Ltd has been quick to realise the importance of making the learning experience fun.
    • Games and quizzes make the learning fun encouraging the fullest participation, recognising and rewarding classroom contributions with prizes.
    • As in the past, the need for Employment will continue to form a key part of adult life.
    • Either as an employee providing companies with their knowledge based skills and resource, or as Business People to become Employers.
    • Those new to Employment will need to understand how to interact with and influence others.
    • Some will want to seize the opportunity, to set up and run their own Businesses, to take risks in pursuit of reward, to provide valuable services for the community at large.
    • An introductory “taster” day can be tailored to fit a double lesson, delivered in class sizes or to year groups by Rota throughout the day. Material is taken from each of the modules to give an impactful insight to the wider programme benefits.

    Summary

Some of the Individuals who have become our most influential Business Leaders or Entrepreneurs failed to make the most of school.

Often it’s their non-conforming and rebellious qualities, innate skills or natural abilities that set them apart.

Even from an early stage, we help spark an enthusiasm for Enterprise and an understanding of the skills required. This compliments learning providing hope, ambition, renewed self belief, confidence and a determination to succeed.
